Cherry Pop is a littermate to Marshmello. For the majority of her life, Cherry Pop grew up in Charlotte, MI, with her wonderful owner Susan Calandar, who is a mastiff lover and also a breeder of Scottish terriers. Due to circumstances beyond her control, Susan was forced to relinquish possession of Cherry Pop, and thus she came back to us in December of 2005. Since then, we have had lots of fun acclimating Cherry Pop to our crazy home full of mastiffs (very different from Scotties!). Cherry Pop is a beautiful, large, apricot-brindle female. As our friend Donna Tong describes, "She's a tiger in a dogsuit!" Although they may not resemble each other at first glance, Cherry Pop and Marshmello have many similar traits. Cherry Pop is very sound and proportionate, with good depth and length of body. She is extremely well angulated in both front and rear, almost to a fault. She could easily be considered over angulated in the rear, as our breed standard calls for only moderate angulation. We tend to believe that one is better off with too much angulation than not enough!! Cherry Pop also has an amazing head which could also be considered overdone. She has excellent depth and breadth of both muzzle and skull, and her muzzle and skull are more than proportionate within the terms outlined in our breed standard. One would preferably have less loose skin around head and neck, a tighter eye, and a slightly higher earset. After a bit more socialization, we hope to bring Cherry Pop out to the show on a limited basis this summer.
